Let us introduce to you Intech’s brand new Converter:

The IntechMicro 2100-IS-USB
The IntechMicro 2100-IS-USB converts and isolates via USB from a computer to RS485 or RS422 for communication to data high-way stations. This new model replaces Intech’s 2100-IS.

What makes this converter so special I hear you ask?

Firstly, it complies with Intech’s number one principle: Isolation Is King! Making sure communications between the PC and field devices are isolated is paramount in the industrial industry.
Also, what’s quite unique with this wee desktop converter is the built in watch dog. If for any reason the PC stops communicating with the field stations after a selectable timeout, the 2100-IS-USB sounds an audible alarm and closes a relay. This fail safe helps to keep 24/7 monitoring going and alerts for critical support when things turn to custard.
